Divinity of Christ
Jesus Christ was the only begotten son of God, born of the virgin Mary. He was all God and all man. He possessed a human body and was tempted and tried as we are, yet without sin. (Hebrews 4:15). He pre-existed with God the Father before the world began.
John 1:1,14
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God...And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.”
Isaiah 9:6
“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”
Matthew 1:23
“Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.”
He died on the cross, was resurrected on the third day and is now sitting at the right hand of the Father to intercede for us.
