Friday, March 24, Morning Service
This morning a message entitled Babylon was preached by Bro. Ray Tinsman.
In this message we were informed about the system of the world which is set up to oppress and keep people in bondage.
Isaiah 44:28. “That saith of Cyrus, He is my shepherd, and shall perform all my pleasure…”
Cyrus was a king. An earthly monarch whom the Lord by the prophet Isaiah called “my shepherd.”
In Ezekiel 34 the prophet is instructed to “prophesy against the shepherds of Israel”, this can be applied temporally as well as spiritually.
We were shown, by examples, clear and calculated oppression in world history (events surrounding the Irish Potato Famine, white mens’ dealings with the Indians, the slumlords of Kenya, Africa and more). There are a small number of people in power in the world who engineer ways to keep the general population down, to keep the people under their control.
During the service we were challenged to name inventors. More than 20 individual inventors were called out by the congregation. By far the inventors named lived in the late 1800s to early 1900s with one or two dating before that time and the same number after that time. The named inventors of our day proved to be high school drop outs while those of the former time were men and women primarily educated with the Bible and a McGuffey Reader. Today’s education system is oppressive. Young people are encouraged to go to college after their primary and secondary compulsory education. In college they may obtain a degree, but they also incur large debts that they carry forward. Afterward, they may possibly get a job that pays them $3 or $4 more than a non-degreed individual.
In the church of God we are good, law-abiding citizens. We are also a rebellious people, separate from the world. We are not any earthly nationality. We are Christians.
Friday March 24, Evening Service
Brothers Patrick and Stephen O’Shea together preached tonight’s message entitled Power as Sons.
The brothers preached to the older and younger aged saints showing us that we all have a place in the work of God in this time.
John 1:10–12. “…But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.”
Acts 2:17, 18. “And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit: and they shall prophesy.”
With the preaching that God has connected us to, we are also connected to the source of the power that enables the young men to see visions and the old men to dream dreams. Young and old, mothers, fathers, children, young sisters and young brothers were exhorted and encouraged that we have power as sons and should “go for it!” with our all for God.
Thursday, March 23, Morning Service
This morning’s message was delivered by Bro. Aaron Braun and is entitled The Drawings of God.
This message was best seen and second best, heard. Email email@example.com to order a CD copy of messages preached by the ministers of the church of God.
John 12:32. “And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.” This is a promise of God.
Hosea 11:3, 4. “…I drew them with cords of a man, with bands of love: and I was to them as they that take off the yoke on their jaws, and I laid meat unto them.”
God has always done good to man. In salvation it is as if God has a rope and He is lassoing man. He gets His rope around a man and then begins dealing with him and drawing him toward Himself. Sometimes other people see what is happening to the person who has God’s cord around him and they want to do something to keep the person from changing. It is not possible. Don’t try to stop what God is doing with His rope.
John 6:43, 44. “… No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.”
Thursday, March 23, Evening Service
Bro. Abe Redecop preached Much is Given, Much is Required in this evening’s service.
Luke 12:47, 48. “And that servant, which knew his lord’s will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes. But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.”
We are the ones who have been given much. We are extremely, tremendously responsible. The end of a thing is better than the beginning thereof and we are at the climax of the Gospel Day.
The glory of the latter house will be greater than the glory of the former. Ezekiel, Haggai, Zechariah, these books of the Bible are filled with prophecy about our time. It’s as though the prophets are seeking a place where they can unload their burden.
Revelation 11:11 says, “And after three days and an half the Spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet: and great fear fell upon them which saw them.” This verse depicts the beginning of the evening time. The verse says, “…after three days and an half…”. “After” has come! It is now “after.”
Luke 24:39. “…for a spirit hath not flesh and bones…” A spirit wants flesh and bone in which to operate. The Spirit of God wants people who will understand the times and the burden of prophecy. We have a complete understanding of the word of God. Revelation 15 and following is all about our time, this time in which we now live. Don’t be slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken. Disregard the way the world looks. Let’s show the world that The Bible is a heavy book.
Wednesday, March 22, Morning Service
Bro. Randall Hargrave preached a message entitled, Fake News.
Media, medium, mediator and go-between are words that are interchangeable. The media stands between you and the event and they interpret it for you. A big part of people being delivered from sin is their being delivered from fake news, false reports.
In Galatians 3 Paul writes, “Who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth?” The media of today is bewitching people.
Matthew 28:11-15. “…So they took the money, and did as they were taught: and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day.”
Isaiah 53:1. “Who hath believed our report?”
Every one of us needs full and complete victory over the media. The media is a monster and it is controlling people. In salvation, you switched media. You found a new media. It will be those who believe in the report of the 7th Trumpet Angel who will make it to heaven.
Wednesday, March 22, Evening Service
Bro. Mikey Tinoco preached a fiery message entitled ¿Qué vas a hacer con lo que tienes?/What Will You Do With What You Have? This message was preached in Spanish with consecutive interpretation into English.
Genesis 3:11, 12. “…And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.” Verse twelve contains the first excuse. Today you and I have no excuse to not have the fire and the glory of God.
Can God trust you? Can God use you for His work? It’s not time to think about yourself and your problems, it’s time to run! Someone did something so that you could be saved. You have to do something so that others can be saved.
Matthew 25:14, 15. “For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods. And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability and straightway took his journey”
To every man according to his ability. You cannot be saved and stay the same. The devil is waiting on you to stop moving so that he can move in and work. It is better to make a mistake than to do nothing at all. Don’t be content with what you have, fight for more!
Tuesday, March 21, Morning Service
This morning the saints gathered at a park in downtown Ensenada for street meeting. The singers sang hymns and special songs while the saints passed out invitations to the meeting and took the opportunity to meet and speak to people from the local area.
Pictures from this street meeting along with other photos from this meeting are posted for viewing on churchofgod.net in Recent Posts.
Tuesday, March 21, Evening Service
Bro. Isaac Thiessen preached a message entitled Controlling Power.
Genesis 3:15. “And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.”
There will be a conflict; God said so from the beginning. There is a conflict between those who say that you can be free from sin and them who say you cannot be.
In Judges 17:6 there was a time when “every man did that which was right in his own eyes.” We live in the same kind of day.
Revelation 17:15 tells about a whore. The whore sits upon waters which the Bible tells us “are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues”. She is not sitting there for no reason. She has control. Everyone who is not with the church of God is with this whore. In this day, people are controlled and set up to lose. It is not so in the church of God. Our apostles are on our side and setting us up to win in our souls and temporally, in this life.
Revelation 10:1. “And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven…” The people (under the influence of this angel) is strong because the angel is strong. You have to be with the strong Christians to win, if not, you’re going to lose.

Bro. Ray Tinsman preached the first message of this week of meeting, a message entitled Unity of God’s People
We are “one people” yet we are a diverse people. That fact separates us from other religious groups. We don’t appreciate the idea of everyone being alike. We appreciate having a need for language interpreters during our meetings.
Our unity comes from an experience of full salvation. It is impossible to be one when you have the carnal nature on board. When the carnal man is dead, you cannot help but be at one with the people of God.
John 10:16 “And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.”
The Lord was referring to the Gentiles, He said, “them also I must bring.”
In Acts 10, Peter had a vision of the sheet being let down from heaven with all manner of beasts and creeping things inside. We all were in that sheet!
John 17:20 “Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word.” We are the “them…which shall believe!”
I John 3:14 “We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.”
Acts 2:41-42. “…they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine…”
The apostles’ doctrine was the basis of unity and fellowship in the early morning church. Likewise, the reason the saints are in unity with each other today is because the ministry is in unity with one other and the saints fellowship everyone that the ministry fellowships.
Galatians 6:10. “As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.”
