Philippines Meeting Report

Gerona, Tarlac, Philippines

In the morning service, Bro. Benjamin Tinsman preached a message based out of Ezra 4:12-15 and titled, The Rebellious City. Not everyone was impressed with the rebuilding of Jerusalem. These men, who were living off the king’s bounty were concerned for themselves, not the revenue of the king. Nebuchadnezzar was the mastermind who set up a government that could control the millions. He gave the people some degree of freedom but was it just enough to keep from having insurrections. He tried to train the three Hebrew boys to fit his regime. He gave them some freedom. He gave them some position. He allowed them to worship their own God to a certain point, but in the end, they were actually being forced to worship his god. But they weren’t normal puppets; when the music began to play, three young men did not bow down. They were rebellious against Nebuchadnezzar’s plan. They were real men.

“And I commanded, and search hath been made, and it is found that this city of old time hath made insurrection against kings, and that rebellion and sedition have been made therein.”

The preacher used the passage of scripture in Ezra 5, where Zerubbabel and Jeshua, apostles of their time, who didn’t wait for an edict from the king to begin building the walls of Jerusalem, were living up to the records that the king had of them. Now, it’s not wrong to be rebellious if you’re rebellious against the right things. The time has come for the servants of God to build, but not by Darius’ command. There was a time when people tried to make their religion palatable for everyone, even the sinners, but thank God, the time has come for Zerubbabel and Jeshua to rebuild the rebellious city no matter what the world says. We aren’t waiting for the Filipino or American governments to say we can. We aren’t waiting for the celebrities and media to say we can. We have decided to dress the way we dress, to be separate from the world, to be hot against all unholiness. We have decided, as young men, to stand against today’s society. This is a revolt against the system of this world. It’s time to stop listening to these false prophets. The media is wrong! This gay movement of cute men is wrong! This effeminate world is wrong! Why do we dress the way we do? Because we’re rebellious. The world is keeping a record on us, and we’ve called all the slaves together and told the enemy we’re leaving!

Amen.

Sis. Tamara Tinsman preached, a searching message to the sinners this evening. “A soul without God is empty. I want you to have what I have,” she said. “I want you to be free from the fear of death. I want you to be free from that guilt you feel after you know you’ve done something wrong.” The preacher used the verse in Genesis 6: 5, “And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.” If you’re not saved, it doesn’t matter what you think, it’s evil. There’s nothing good about you. You’re a thief even if you have never stolen anything in your life. You’re stealing the breath that you have from God. He gave you your voice to praise Him, and you’re using it to say evil things. It was never in God’s plan for you to be lost. The people in Noah’s day thought he was crazy for preaching his warning of a coming flood when it had never even rained before, but, one day, the animals began to gather to the ark. People were thinking, that maybe Noah was right, but if they were to enter into the ark, what would everyone else say? Eventually, Noah boarded the ark along with his family and all those animals, and the door was closed. It took a little bit for the rain to begin to fall, but life probably didn’t go on as usual. The people of his time were very focused on Noah and what was happening at the ark. When it began to rain, people panicked. As the floods kept rising, people begged to get into the ark, but were turned away because they had missed the time of their visitation. In desperation, families sought shelter on higher ground and in the mountains. They cried out, but it was too late. Their day of visitation had passed. Sinner, are you going to let another day pass on without dealing with your soul? You may say that you’re young, but coffins come in all sizes. Your life, at its longest, is very short. You don’t know how long you’re going to live. Are you willing to gamble with your never dying soul?

Gerona, Tarlac, Philippines

This morning, Bro. Jeremiah Estrada preached an anointed message entitled, Children in Babel’s Courts: The Murder of Masculinity. He used the scripture in Exodus 1:14, “And they made their lives bitter with hard bondage, in morter, and in brick, and in all manner of service in the field: all their service, wherein they made them serve, was with rigour.”

Imagine being a Hebrew man whose wife was with child at the time when the Pharaoh decreed that all males born to the Hebrews were to be killed at birth. Pharaoh was trying to kill off all possibilities of future up-risings. “And of thy sons that shall issue from thee, which thou shalt beget, shall they take away; and they shall be eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon” (Isaiah 39:7). A eunuch is a man who has been robbed of his manhood in order to make him more controllable and less manly. Pharaoh took all of the best young men, the most intelligent, most handsome, successful, athletic men and made them into eunuchs. There has been a premeditated attack on masculinity in this end time. That’s why homosexuality is so rampant. The preacher exhorted the young brothers in the congregation to be wild. “And there was sore war against the Philistines all the days of Saul: and when Saul saw any strong man, or any valiant man, he took him unto him” (I Samuel 14:52). We are fighting in a sore war.

After Bro. Jeremiah sat down, Bro. Ray got up and specifically aimed the message toward the Filipino culture which is in need of restoration along the lines of masculinity. The government has made it hard for a man to earn a living here in order to support his family. He exhorted the young brothers to blaze a trail, to be pioneers and show all those coming behind them, how to be real men.

Truly, the Lord is blessing the saints in this meeting! May He continue to bless us as the meeting progresses.

In the evening service, Br. Ray preached a message to the lost. God wants to get glory from every creature, even from the sinners. He uses the backsliders to show us what we don’t want to be. Sin is deceptive. If it were not deceptive, no one would be unsaved. People don’t want to be saved because they think they’ll have to give up a lot. What did you give up? Heartache? Sadness? A chance for hell? Salvation provides the best life here on earth! If you aren’t saved, you’re missing out! This rejoicing is real; it’s not a show. It is better than a party. It’s better than drinking. It’s better than girlfriends or boyfriends. Salvation is good, but will you have it?

“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad” (2 Corinthians 5:10).

Your eternity is worse, Sinner, now that you know truth. We all get rewarded for how we live our lives whether it’s good or bad. What profit do you have, Sinner? The rich man is being rewarded for the way he treated Lazarus. Lazarus was his only connection to heaven, just like we are your only connection to heaven. You will be judged according to how you respond to the saints. If you won’t repent at the hearing of the preaching, then you will never repent even if someone were to rise from the dead. What are you going to do when the world’s on fire? Will you be saved? If not, why? Give me one good reason why you’re not saved!

There was good response the message. May the Lord help those who sought help to go all the way through with Him. We thank the Lord for the way He has been moving!

Gerona, Tarlac, Philippines

Excitement was the air as all of the saints from Gerona, Tarlac, Philippines, prepared and welcomed saints from other locations in this country as well as saints from North America. The yearly special meeting in the Philippines has begun!

Our meeting began with songs about Zion. Numbers of the saints testified, shouting and glorifying God for their salvation and for freedom from false religion.

Bro. Ray Tinsman preached a message about being connected to the right people. He began by talking about the unity of the saints. The church of God is the largest group in the entire world who is connected in both mind and soul. Salvation isn’t so much what you know, but who you know. You must be connected to those who know God. Using the scripture passage in Acts about how Tabitha became sick and died, the preacher reminded us of how the disciples heard that Peter was in the nearby town of Lydda. They sent men to fetch him to Joppa, where Tabitha’s body had been laid in an upper room. Peter arrived in Joppa to a room full of weeping widows, showing all the coats and garments that Tabitha had sewn for them.

“But Peter put them all forth, and kneeled down, and prayed; and turning him to the body said, Tabitha, arise. And she opened her eyes: and when she saw Peter, she sat up. And he gave her his hand, and lifted her up, and when he had called the saints and widows, presented her alive” (Acts 9:40, 41).

The saints in the scriptures recognized Peter for who he was—the apostle. Our dear apostle, Bro. Ray, also used the passage in the book of John, chapter 11, concerning Lazarus being raised from the dead. You have to be connected to the right people, and when you are, everything else will work itself out.

After the service, there was an elderly Filipino brother who testified that the Lord had told him that if he would be anointed by the apostles, God would heal him from his blindness, which had come upon him from a previous illness. The apostles, Bro. Ray Tinsman and Sis. Elizabeth Oppel, prayed for him, and when he opened his eyes he was able to see. His vision restored, he pointed to different saints, calling them by name!

The second service began with songs along the lines of salvation and God’s keeping grace. Different saints testified, attesting to the truth of the songs.

Sis. Elizabeth Oppel, preached an inspiring message titled, Apostolic Authority. The preacher went through the Bible, describing different people in the scriptures who were acting as apostles in their time.

Noah was the voice from heaven in his time, warning all those who heard him of the coming flood. If you didn’t listen to Noah, then you were lost. Joseph was favored by God; he was the object of envy for his brothers. His brothers tried to get rid of him, but the plan of the enemy was a “set up” by God to lead him to Egypt, where he later saved his family by providing them food during the famine. Moses, the stammering, tongue-tied man, who was thrown into the Nile as a baby under the express order of the Pharaoh was raised, despite the king’s decree, under the king’s own roof. Everything that Moses went through was only preparing him for his leadership in the mass exodus of the Hebrews out of Egypt. “Apostles are ordained from their mothers’ wombs.” John the Baptist turned the hearts of the fathers to their children. The message of the morning time apostles (Peter, Paul, Matthew, etc.) was to do all that the apostles say and you would be saved. Then, there was Menno Simons and John Wesley. When D.S. Warner died, there was a silence because there was no one to hold back the enemy.

When Bro. Layne was born, God had already planned that he would be an apostle in this end time work of restoration. The devil tried to destroy him with drugs for 19 years, but in 1980, he got gloriously saved. No one else could have preached the message Bro. Layne had. “Faith and Victory” failed to see his apostolic authority. They should have listened to what he was telling them. Bro. Layne has passed on and now God has set another man in his place—Bro. Ray Tinsman. The apostles are not just intangible, spiritual beings, but they’re real, flesh-and-blood people. God has also set eight other apostles in place. When you have a problem, you can talk to any one of these saints, and they can help you.

We thank the Lord for His Wonderful Presence with us and this thrilling beginning to this meeting in the Philippines! Amen.
