Sunday, June 4
We thank God for the mighty way He has blessed His saints this campmeeting! It is almost beyond belief how much understanding and glory the church has gained in a single week!
On Sunday morning, the last meeting of this series of meetings, Apostle Henry Hildebrandt preached us a wonderfully clear message on Having Your Priorities in Order. 1 Corinthians 12:27 tells us, “Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.” It doesn’t say “ye will be,” it says “ye are!” Many people would be fine this far, but the scripture continues in verse 28, “And God HATH (not will) set some (not all) in the church.” God is a God of priorities. You must have a “first” before you can have an “after.” It doesn’t necessarily mean one has less glory than the other, it just shows priorities. Notice that “tongues” is the last word in this verse. Tongues means languages. So speaking in tongues is speaking in languages! If you are speaking to a man, you must speak to him in a language that you both understand. It’s the same way when speaking with God. God understands all languages, but what good do I receive from talking to God if I don’t understand what I’m saying to Him?
In Acts 2:5-6, there were people there from every nation under heaven; thus there was a necessity for the gift of tongues. In this passage of scripture the gift of tongues was operating. This is also the case in Acts 10 at the house of Cornelius.
False tongues are not just unfortunate or shameful, they are devilish.
Bro. Hildebrandt is multi-lingual and he demonstrated for the congregation exactly what Bible tongues are. They are different known and understandable languages. (It would be good for you to get the recording of this message just to hear this clear demonstration!)
Ephesians 2:20 says, “And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ being the chief corner stone.” We must have the foundation first, and then the rest of the building. When we are constructing a new building, we don’t call in the painters right away. We first must lay the foundation. It’s the same way in the spiritual sense. Get the foundation right, and the rest of the building will be right.
In closing, we must say that each meeting report has been composed and presented to the best of our ability but words fail to describe what has taken place during this week of meetings. Hearing the messages will be your next best option; recordings are available by email request at firstname.lastname@example.org. The very best thing that you can do is to come and see for yourself! We extend an open invitation to all lovers of the truth. Please check our website for upcoming meeting dates and times or for a congregation located near you. Amen.
Saturday, June 3
This morning’s service was held in Greenville, Ohio on the Church of God meetinghouse grounds. It was a baptism service. Due to the number of saints desiring to be baptized, the baptism service preempted our regular morning meeting.
Hundreds of saints and visitors gathered on the banks to watch 44 men, women, boys and girls follow the Lord in water baptism. Each of the baptism candidates testified in their own words of their salvation and determination to follow the Lord for the rest of their lives. Apostles Ray Tinsman, Randall Hargrave and Benjamin Tovstiga fully immersed those who were being baptized.
Saturday evening’s service began with a song by the special singers from Ontario, Canada and continued with congregational songs being sung in Spanish. There is a strong population of Spanish-speaking saints among us and in all of our services simultaneous language interpretation is provided in no fewer than three languages. The service continued with several spontaneous personal testimonies from saints in English, Spanish and a dear elderly brother got up and testified in Plattdeutsch or Plautdietsch, a Germanic language referred to as Low German. In instances where the general congregation is addressed in a foreign tongue, one of interpreters will stand with the speaker and give the interpretation of the address to the body in the language that is understood by the majority of the congregation. Testimonies such as these are not an intrusion or interruption of our meetings, we understand them to be one of the signs that we are the true church of God. (Isaiah 2:2). The church of God joys in her diversity and treasures and guards her unity.
Tonight’s message, titled Healing and Signs and Wonders, was preached by Apostle Stephen Hargrave.
Acts 4:29, 30. “And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word, By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus.”
In this portion of scripture we see New Testament prophets, known as apostles, praying for signs to be performed. In the gospel of Luke the Bible tells us that “holy prophets…have been since the world began.” We can look back and see that the performance of signs is not uncommon.
In 2 Kings 5, we can read the account of Naaman, the leprous Syrian army commander, who was directed to Elisha the prophet by a captive Israelite maid. The maid was convinced that the prophet had the power to heal, and he did! This little maid preached such a good message, that the king of Syria sent Naaman to Samaria with rich gifts, seeking the prophet of God.
Moses was a prophet and he worked signs and wonders to solidify his position as deliverer of the children of Israel from Egyptian captivity, but there was a time of personal preparation before Moses was ready to advance into his position. In the beginning, Moses was in the wilderness and had to be made ready.
Moses the prophet was a miracle worker. Elijah the prophet was a miracle worker. Elisha the prophet was a miracle worker. Elisha made poison food edible, told a childless woman that she would have a son, years later, brought the woman’s son back to life from death. It was no wonder that Naaman’s maid understood that prophet’s had power! It was a fact of life to which Israel was completely accustomed. In the time of the New Testament apostles, this power was restored which we see in Acts 5:12-15 and Acts 19:11-13.
I Corinthians 12:28. “And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.” In this time, we are living in the “after that” portion of I Corinthians 12:28. We have apostles, prophets and teachers.
Ecclesiastes 7:8. “Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof…” The end of the Gospel Day is better than its beginning! Revelation 16:17, 18 says of the events of the end, “…such as was not since men were upon the earth…”

Friday, June 2
Friday morning, we had a very special service. The church of God partook of the Lord’s Supper and observed the ordinance of feet washing. We believe that the ordinance of feet washing is a symbol of what we do to one another on a daily basis. In essence when we see a fault in another saint we “wash their feet” in that we help them with their fault. Brother Ray Tinsman, the chief apostle of the church, read John 13:8, where Peter said, “Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me.” Peter seems to have changed his mind in the next verse when he said, “Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head.” We need to have a measure of repentance at having to be rebuked by the saints. Not a sorrow for being caught in a fault but a repentance at having done something that needed to be addressed. But in that repentance we should have humility to be able to accept help and to change.
After Brother Ray exhorted the saints about feet washing, the brothers and the sisters separated for their respective feet washing services. The sisters remained in the tabernacle while the brothers departed to their designated location.
After coming back together and before partaking of the Lord’s Supper, Brother Ray exhorted the saints about how the unleavened bread represents the church of God. He described how all of the grains of wheat come from different places and yet they are baked into one loaf. It is a symbol of the unity and of the diversity of the church of God. We are the most diverse religious group in the world. Within a body of nearly 1500 people, where in the world can you find all these different races in unity and agreement? We all come from diverse backgrounds and cultures; we don’t all speak the same language, but there is still unity!
Within about three quarters of an hour, everyone who had participated the Lord’s Supper had partaken of the body and the blood of Jesus, symbolized by unleavened bread and grape juice. It was a solemn time as the saints remembered how the Lord suffered and spilled His blood for us that we might be saved. We closed the service with a hymn and dispersed for the afternoon.
This evening’s service was a marvelous manifestation of the Holy Spirit in our midst! The song service began with the topic of salvation but shifted toward heaven when the Gospel Trumpet Singers began to sing. As the singers sang the songs about heaven, the saints thronged the aisles in the front by the platform. Saints were crying while others were laughing; some jumped while others clapped; many stood on their seats in order to see the front from where they were in the back. Many mothers and fathers carried their children with them in the aisles, demonstrating how to praise God with liberty. One younger minister, Apostle Addison Everett, said, “If you don’t like this, you won’t like heaven!” Br. Patrick O’Shea, Sr., an older father and minister from the Chicago area, informed the saints, “This is that which was spoken by the prophet…” Salvation is what the whole world wants. They may not know it altogether but it is what they want. Children and young people were in the majority in the crowd that was at the front of the tabernacle. Where else can you find small children and young people of all ages rejoicing in their God and in their salvation?!
In the midst of this wonderful time of worship, Apostle Ray Tinsman came to the pulpit and exhorted those who were not saved to seize the opportunity, that he was going to give them at the end of the service, to receive the same experience that the saints were rejoicing about. Several souls responded to the exhortation and sought help at the prayer bench in the front, where earlier, it had been swamped by those rejoicing in their salvation.
Truly God has been working mightily among us this week! May none leave without the lasting effects of His outpouring here.
Thursday, June 1
We are thrilled at the work God is doing in this end time and the means He’s using to fulfill His great plan of salvation. For the perfection of the body, this morning six ministers were ordained as well as seven deacons.
Apostle Ray Tinsman got up and boldly proclaimed that our ministry is indeed in unity and only because they are can the body be in perfect unity as well. We are separated only by locality. We aren’t a people “basically like-minded.” We do not have one congregation competing against another, not in singing, not in preaching, nor in any other way.
People say we are a cult. Only those that don’t know say that, because if that was true than one man has outdone God.
We are the most diverse people and yet the most unified people, all at the same time!
—1 Corinthians 1:17-18
We need the singing, but it’s the preaching that produces the singing!
—1 Corinthians 2:1-5.
We don’t want to hear a bunch of words from someone who’s been in college and has been taught to speak with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but we want to hear from someone who can preach with the demonstration of the spirit and power! Thank God for the restoration of preaching!
Here we read of people who were seeking death, but there was no preachers to kill them. We have come to a time where God has restored the fire, smoke, and brimstone!
The midnight cry is not when Jesus will return, but the ministry of the church of God is making this cry presently. This world is screaming and wants you to listen, but at the same time there is a cry being made by the angel ministry, and it is calling out, “Behold, the bridegroom cometh!” Feeble preaching produces feeble saints; hard preaching produces hard saints!
Only the church of God has real deacons. We want even those who serve tables to be full of the Holy Ghost!
The work of God is growing faster because the deacons are there to serve tables so that the ministers can preach the Word.
The Lord sent us a restoration message tonight on A One Thing Generation, preached by Sis. Elvira Tovstiga.
Reuben felt responsible for the child.
We live in a time where children are hooked on video games, rock and roll, the Internet, and pornography, but we need fathers who can hook their children on God! We have children with fathers who are living to the lust of the flesh. If for no other reason, an unsaved father should want to get saved so his children could have a saved father!
Can you imagine your children being lost? All eternity is not enough to pay that price tag.
Unsaved mothers — those two words don’t even go together. It degrades the very name “mother”.
Children and an empty house is a bad equation, and it will end in disaster! Organizations are being set up to help children, but we don’t need organizations; what we need is holy mothers!
There’s only one thing that will save your family and that is RESTORATION.
Parents, the highest thing you can do is to be able to lay your children at the Apostles’ feet.
Teach your children who they are. Show them what the prophets prophesied about our time and who we are supposed to be!
If you lower the standard for your children, you are putting them into the pit, and at the end you might have to say like Reuben, “the child is not.”
An extended version of a saintly mother is — a spiritually-minded sister.
Mothers need to be mama bears. Let the devil know that he came into the wrong house!
Train your children now, don’t wait till later. If you wait, they will train you. Children in this age rule the house. Never use the excuse “they’ll grow out of it.” If you train your children right you will save the ministers a lot of work. We need to hide our children from the culture of this world. Hide them from Babylonian relatives. It’s not fair for parents to train their children for jail and then, later, the children have to go to jail alone.
Yes, children do need their own experience, but they desperately need someone they can follow.
A one thing generation is the answer for the whole world!
Failure is out of the question; you must deliver your child.
Wednesday, May 31
The glory of God descended upon the camp of the saints this morning as Apostle Elizabeth Oppel took the pulpit with a dynamic message titled Babylon the Great Is Fallen. Before preaching, Sister Oppel took time to thank the Lord for a wonderful physical healing that she received after being prayed for by the apostles. Knowing how ill she had been, the meetinghouse was filled with cries of praise and thanksgiving before she spoke a word. When she did speak her final words were, “I am the apostles’ miracle.” She also said that greater than her healing is the restoration of the authority of the apostles. Great joy came forth from the saints for the mighty blessings of the Lord to us!
Revelation 18:1-2 says, “And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory. And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.ˮ
The people after the flood built the tower of Babel as an attempt to bring in a different system other than the one God had instituted. They wanted a way other than the ark. Babylon means confusion. Every system outside of the Church of God is Babylon. There is no difference between the Republicans and the Mennonites; they are both looking for another way. Everyone that does not choose this place is a part of the movement that he is supposedly fighting against. The media, the billboards, the LGBTQ movement are Babylon. The young ladies of this world have been sexually abused by the media. No one outside of this place can define beauty. Everyone in an identity crisis is part of Babylon and needs the church of God. Babylon’s delicious living is coming to an end because of this place!
The prophet Elijah made a prophecy against Jezebel that he didn’t live to see the fulfillment of, but there were some eunuchs thrilled with anticipation for her destruction. They were ready to throw her down at Jehu’s command. We are Jehu! The time has come for us to destroy Babylon. We have more than two or three eunuchs to do the job. We’ve got a war to fight for the millions of people that have been destroyed by Babylon. Do you hear the blood that is crying to you? The blood of the martyrs, of the aborted babies, of those who killed themselves longing for this place! You’ve got some vengeance to do!
The public school system is part of Babylon. We have been accused of brainwashing our children and we do it proudly because, if we don’t, false religion will! I am proud to be different! We don’t need Facebook because we are real; we are too good for Facebook! People have Facebook and still feel lonely.
Revelation 18:19-23 “…For in one hour is she made desolate…” We are in that one hour, and it will not take us long at all to destroy Babylon. It’s about time that the nations are avenged of the slaughter that’s been going on among them by the system. If you want to escape the system out there, you will come here!
Revelation 19:1-7 We are the Lamb’s wife and have made ourself ready. Alleluia!
In the evening service, Apostle Patrick O’Shea, Jr., preached on The Sin of Envy Job 2:1-3 Satan has handicaps which are disclosed to us in this passage of scripture. Satan was going to and from in the earth showing that he cannot be everywhere at once. He is not omnipresent. The language used in the passage seems to imply a reluctance or unwillingness, on Satan’s part, to come before the Lord. Satan is subject to God’s authority. God asked Satan if he had considered His servant Job. This indicates that Satan doesn’t know everything. He is not omniscient In addition to this, Satan labours under the handicap of tempting creation to go against the Creator. Considering these handicaps and limitations of the deceiver, the question is, “How did sin get here, and what is the greatest deceiving sin?”
Genesis 3:5. In the Garden it was impossible for Adam to commit fornication, adultery, murder theft or to be immodest. The sin of unbelief was present. What could cause a person not to believe? It must have been pride. What moved Adam and Eve to take of the forbidden fruit? Satan had to swell Adam up with pride and then entered envy The sin that has cost the most blood is the sin of envy. Envy defined is when someone has pain, uneasiness, or discontent excited by the sight of another’s superiority or success, and to have a need to devalue that success. Jesus had to die because some religious people who professed to be the church of God got filled up with envy. The reason other religious groups do not come to this place is that they have eaten of the same fruit and are filled with envy. Today’s society is geared up to make people full of envy. Behind every billboard is the spirit of envy. People in the LGBTQ movement say they are oppressed, but their problem is envy. Hollywood has been filling up people’s minds with envy.
The reason that some of you aren’t further down the road is envy. What hurts the saints most of all is when they don’t and won’t acknowledge through whom God moves in the midst. The spirit of envy always justifies itself. Doing what the preacher says will open the gates of heaven for you. If we will win the world, it will be by our love for one another. We will have to do it together. If we will get behind each other, God will be behind us. Brethren, love one another!
Tuesday, May 30
Today our morning meeting took place in downtown Dayton, Ohio, instead of on the Church of God Campground in West Milton, Ohio. Hundreds and hundreds of saints invaded Courthouse Square in downtown Dayton on Tuesday morning. The square is a place where free live entertainment is offered at lunchtime on weekdays throughout the summer. Food vendors are set up and there is a stage for performances. In this setting, literature tables were set up and saints, armed with meeting flyers and gospel tracts and the love of God for the never-dying souls of their fellow men, walked the surrounding streets and stood in the Square talking to passersby and distributing invitations to people who stopped to hear the singing.
The street meeting continued for approximately two hours. There was singing by the special singers followed by songs by the children and then songs and spontaneous testimonies by the young people. During the singing and testifying, saints shouted, raised their hands and leapt for joy, worshiping as though they were not surrounded by tall buildings, streets filled with traffic and curious onlookers. We took camp meeting to the street! Ministers exhorted the crowd and preached of the fallen condition of the world, bidding souls to look to Jesus and to look on the church of God.
Pictures of the street meeting and the camp meeting thus far can be found on this website.
At our evening service Apostle Randall Hargrave brought a message titled, The Second Coming of Christ. In the time following the Flood, the Lord promised that the earth would not again be destroyed by flood, but the next time it will be fire. We are living in “the next time.”
Sin is rampant, it is spreading unchecked, in every town, city and culture. It is now as it was in the days of Noah. God destroyed man, whom He had created, from the face of the earth. God did not relish having to destroy man, but after sin, man is fit only for destruction. Noah believed God so he gathered wood together and moved with fear he built an ark to the saving of his house. We are here to tell you that in this day, we, the church of God, are the ark. Jesus Christ has made an ark in this time and there’s a stall with your name on it!
It is our duty tonight to tell you that the coming of the Lord in the clouds is very close to you. Doubtless, the Lord has been talking to you, and you have questioned, “How long can things in the world stay like this?” The end of all things is at hand and you must do something about your condition before you come face to face with God. Can you imagine staring into the face of God, the face of our Creator, and not being ready?
You can be delivered from your sins. Sins are those things that you do that you know that you shouldn’t do; things you try hard to block out of your mind. Sins are those things that you see your little brother or your little sister doing following in your footsteps and you don’t want that for them. To be saved from your sins you will have to do some confessing to yourself. You’ll have to say, “Self, you’re not doing very well. Your plans are not working out.” Don’t wait too late to move. Do something about your lost condition!
You’re going to have to decide that you believe enough to prepare for Christ’s second coming. You’re going to have to decide to do whatever you have to do no matter what you have to change, put on or take off. It was as unlikely for the people in Noah’s day to believe that the whole earth was going to fill up with water as it is for people today to believe that the whole earth is going to burn up , but the Flood did come and so will the fire.
These are some of the last warning messages going out over the earth. Will you allow it to affect you the way that it should?
Monday, May 29
Beginning Sunday night, May 28th at 11 PM through Monday morning, May 29th at 6 AM, seven hours of non-stop prayer was observed on the campgrounds. The saints pledged to pray for one hour of the night and at their chosen hour each rose from his bed to lift up his voice in prayer for the meeting. The sound of fervent prayer was heard throughout the campground during these hours. Following the night of prayer, Monday was a day of fasting and continued prayer.
The Lord came down in a mighty way in the morning service. Apostle Ernest Benion, Jr., preached a message titled The Mighty Power of God: The Promise of Dunamis. Dunamis is a Greek word meaning, “miraculous power.” Luke 24:49 says, “And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.” The “power from on high”—this was the message of the morning-time apostles.
“And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power.” I Corinthians 2:4. We must have this same power—the power that Paul had. We are the ones that put the limits on what God is able to do in us. In Acts 2, people wondered if the saints were drunk! But they weren’t drunk—they were filled with the power of God. “Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.” Ephesians 3:20. God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we can ask or think, if only we will allow him to do it.
Monday evening, we had a wonderful (well, better than wonderful!) meeting. The Lord poured out His blessing on the song service, and, indeed, throughout the whole service. Bro. Jeremiah Estrada preached on a text taken from Acts 13:44–46.
“And the next sabbath day came almost the whole city together to hear the word of God. But when the Jews saw the multitudes, they were filled with envy, and spake against those things which were spoken by Paul, contradicting and blaspheming. Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles.”
The message title is Lo, We Turn to the Gentiles. In this day, we find ourselves in a situation similar to the one that the apostles, Paul and Barnabas, were in. We’ve tried to reach the “Church of God” people, the Mennonites, the plain people… We cannot spend any more time on those who don’t want this! “Come over into Macedonia and help us” is still the cry.
In Luke 14, a certain man made a great supper and sent his servants out calling to those who had been invited to the supper that he had prepared, telling them that it was time to come. All of the invited guests began to make excuses. So He said, “Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in hither the poor, and the maimed, and the halt, and the blind. And the servant said, Lord, it is done as thou hast commanded, and yet there is room. And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.” Thank God that there is still room! The love of God must constrain us. Abortion, drugs, and homosexuality are terrible things, but the person involved in the sin, is not. Are you tired of trying to win your unsaved relatives or others who simply are not interested? Try reaching out to those that will be saved. Lo, we turn to the Gentiles!
Sunday, May 28
In giving the preached Word of God preeminence in our meeting reports, we must omit the telling of the glory of God that comes down upon us in our song services, which precede the preaching. Our song services have always been wonderful, but that there has been an increase in the glory of them this meeting, there is no doubt! The saints are worshiping with a corporate aggressiveness that has not been seen before. This is a response to the revelation that is coming forth from the preaching. It is as if, in this new understanding that God has given to us, every song, many of them so familiar that the verses can be sung without a songbook, can be sung with a freshness that has taken our worship to a level of glory that is delighting us all, saints and visitors alike. This is not easily described. Come and see!
The message this morning entitled Folly is Set in Great Dignity was preached by Apostle Randall Hargrave.
“There is an evil which I have seen under the sun, as an error which proceedeth from the ruler: folly is set in great dignity, and the rich sit in low place. I have seen servants upon horses, and princes walking as servants upon the earth.” Ecclesiastes 10:5-7.
We live in a time when folly is in charge of everything, folly rules over the whole world. We live in a time when things of value are sold for a quarter and worthless things are highly prized. There is something seriously out of order when servants ride and princes walk! This is folly and folly needs to be torn down.
Folly does not just happen, it is organized. In the book of Daniel, Nebuchadnezzar built an image for the people to worship. He had to make the image something that the people could believe in because people do not want to deliberately believe a lie. It took an unholy gathering together of the minds of Nebuchadnezzar and his chosen rulers to get the people to bow down and worship that image. He could not simply use brute force; the people had to be coerced.
At some point in their lives everyone has been an idol worshiper. God had to drag many of us here, and then, He had to arrange our circumstances in such a way as to prevent our ever leaving. He was burning bridges (on our behalf) all along our way here to the truth. Don’t forget what it was like for you before, if you remember where you were and what you used to be like, you’ll know how to treat those who are coming to the church of God.
In Acts chapter 10 Peter has a vision of a sheet being let down from heaven. In this sheet are all manner of beasts and creeping things which the Jews had been taught were unclean; the things in the sheet were to be avoided by the Jews. Most religious people believe that they are Peter and that they are looking into the sheet where everyone else is. In truth, they are part of the gathering of creatures in the sheet which represented the Gentiles, they are part of that which was deemed unclean.
In Isaiah chapter 1, verses 21-27, the prophet records the woeful condition of the city of Zion (Jerusalem) and the remedy for her. The remedy? Isaiah 1:26, 27 “And I will restore thy judges as at the first, and thy counsellors as at the beginning: afterward thou shalt be called, The city of righteousness, the faithful city. Zion shall be redeemed with judgment, and her converts with righteousness.”
It will take judgment to redeem the current world circumstances where folly rules. You cannot lay judgment unless you are a judge. Only God can choose judges. Men cannot choose judges because we don’t know who should be one. When man-appointed men sit as judges, folly rules.
Matthew 23:1, 2. “…the scribes and Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat…” This is a biblical example of folly. God did not appoint scribes and Pharisees to the place where they sat. I Corinthians 12:28 says, “And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.”
Christianity is not a democracy! God sets things in order in the church as He sees fit, because this is so, folly among restoration saints, is banished!
Apostle Addison Everett preached Zion’s Second Travail in the Sunday evening service. Beginning with his text in Micah 4 and verse 9, we read, “Now why dost thou cry? Is there no king in thee? Is thy counselor perished? For pangs have taken thee as a woman in travail.” There must be travail in order for there to be a birth.
Acts 2:42-47 is an example of travail in the morning-time church of God. What happened in the Upper Room was just like a ten day meeting. It wasn’t just a prayer meeting. The apostles and other disciples were digging into the scriptures. They were discussing the scriptures and connecting the prophecies when the apostles began to realize who they really were! Later, Philip travailed in Samaria and Paul travailed in Rome, etc.
What moved the travail of the church in the time of the first apostles? They had a proper understanding of who the apostles were and what they were supposed to do. Peter wasn’t doubting his calling as an apostle when he called on the lame man to arise and walk. It was a public setting and still he had confidence in who he was. People were healed by Peter’s shadow because they understood the apostles’ place and position in the church.
Tonight, we aren’t living in those days, we are living in the days of Micah 4:1, people are flowing in. God has restored our judges. God has restored us to former dominion. We stand at the peak of all the ages. The reason more people are not throwing themselves into the works of God all over the world is that they don’t understand that we are experiencing having Peter with us, today! This is a full return of the apostolic state of the church in the morning time. We need to see ourselves the same way that we see the apostles and saints that we read of in the Bible!
Take heed that the modern-day apostles don’t become common to you. The word of these men must carry the same weight as the word of the morning-time apostles.
In closing, this passage of scripture was read: “Awake, awake, O Zion; put on thy beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city: for henceforth there shall no more come into thee the uncircumcised and the unclean. Shake thyself from the dust; arise and sit down, O Jerusalem: loose thyself from the bands of thy neck, O captive daughter of Zion.”

Saturday, May 27
The International Camp Meeting of the Church of God 2017 has begun. The Church of God Campground is located at 6390 S. Jay Road in West Milton, Ohio. Services will continue Saturday, May 27—Sunday, June 4, 2017 at 10:30 AM and 7:00 PM daily.
More than 1,300 true worshipers of God have gathered from North and South America, Europe and Asia for this greatly anticipated annual meeting.
Services began this morning with a message from Apostle Ray Tinsman. The message was titled, The Appointed Time.
Exodus 9:1-5 is a passage regarding the 5th plague with which God afflicted Egypt. Verse five says, “And the LORD appointed a set time, saying, To morrow the LORD shall do this thing in the land.” God is a God of time. He sets a time for all His work. Here, He set a specific time for the plague to begin.
Psalm 102:13 “Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come.” There is a specific time that God had set. There have been other faithful men and women in times past who have prayed, fasted and wept to see and experience what we are experiencing tonight in the church of God. It was no lack on their part that they did not gain the experience. Likewise, it is not because we have done anything special that we are here. We are here because it is the set time. (Matthew 13:16, 17). The devil is fighting against the acknowledging of the set time, this place and this people. He doesn’t care if you believe as long as it’s not belief in the set time, place and people.
Saturday evening’s message was entitled Casting Down Imaginations and was preached by Apostle Benjamin Tovstiga. This message dealt strongly with the human mind, its complexity, its intricacy, its volatility or its susceptibility to rapid changes.
Psalm 139 lists probably one of the most encouraging passages of the Bible. “O LORD, thou hast searched me, and known me. Thou …understandest my thought afar off.” The Lord is able to do what we cannot do. He can even understand our thoughts!
Anyone who has lived for very long understands that the mind is a force to be reckoned with as thoughts race through it at breakneck speed at times and will not be “turned off”. This describes one mind, yet there are seven billion minds in the world and the call of the church, the call of the ministry is to save some of them.
While it is not the mind of the sinner that is the object of salvation, the mind will have to be engaged in order for the sinner to be saved. Salvation is accomplished by the demolition and destruction of imaginations or strongholds that are located in the mind; this is accomplished by preaching. The Apostle Paul had to forcefully overthrow the thoughts in the minds of the Pharisees. Romans chapter 8 and chapter 9 are battering rams of truth to crush the imaginations that were entrenched in the minds of the Jews regarding the Law and regarding Gentiles.
Scripture in Hebrews 4:12 says, “For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
What the Apostle Paul and the other apostles and prophets did in their day, the apostles and prophets of today must also do. Today’s apostles and prophets are equipped to, through the gospel, deal with people’s thoughts. Today we are continually exposed to worldly ideologies, questioning and reasoning. Though we are beset before and behind with thoughts, there is a God and He has a ministry who is able to throw these thoughts down!
Apostle Paul did not shrink back from his call or mistake his position, he understood. Today’s church of God ministry also understands its call and position.
“We stand at the very end of a massive crescendo of the Gospel Day!”
